THE WEEKEND EDITION (So big it covers two days)

Plant breeders find there is a Holy Grail color in most varieties and the geranium is no exception. Look up yellow geranium online and you will find disputes over it, including when is yellow actually yellow. That said, Burpee is selling a Pelargonium purported to be the first true yellow zonal geranium, the lovely double-flowered ‘First Yellow.’ It is a delicate beauty that Burpee calls a “triumph of plant breeding.” You can’t buy seeds for it yet, but you can get plants from Burpee. It grows 12-15 inches tall, with a spread of 10-18 inches.
