Hemerocallis 'Becky Lynn'

Mark Uchneat Photo | Hemerocallis ‘Becky Lynn’

Hemerocallis ‘Becky Lynn’ is a pink-mauve day lily with a white stripe, yellow throat and ruffled edges. Add to that a nice fragrance and you have a great Hemerocallis as photographed by Mark Uchneat. But wait, it gets even better for this cultivar, which is hardy to Zone 4 and tops out at a mere 24 inches. This extra early bloomer goes one extra step: It reblooms. ‘Becky Lynn’ was introduced in 1977.

Day Lily Week fact: Hundreds of cultivars have fragrant flowers, and more scented cultivars are appearing more frequently in northern hybridization programs. Some cultivars rebloom later in the season, particularly if their capsules, in which seeds are developing, are removed. – From Wikipedia
