All this week, we are reveling in the harvest of 2012 by celebrating the bounty from the garden with Edibles Week.

Starting Tuesday, you can sign up for a chance to win the drawing of a $25 gift certificate to Wood Prairie Farm in Bridgewater (form is below). Wood Prairie may be best known for their organic seed potatoes, but did you know that they sell not only seed for the garden but also food for your kitchen: from fresh potatoes and other vegetables to aged cheeses, sprouting seeds, baking mixes, grains and flours, dry beans, maple syrup and more. The only problem is deciding what to do with the gift certificate.

And you have this promise from Jim and Megan Gerritsen about their products: “All food and seed items … has been Certified Organically grown. NO EXCEPTIONS. Most all of the foods and seeds listed here are crops which we have grown here on Wood Prairie Farm. The rest we buy from other organic family farmers that we know and trust.”

As part of Edibles Week, we’ve got a different edible plant for every feature of the The Daily Plant, along with recipes and features.

So join us as we Celebrate the Harvest. And come chat with us over on Facebook, follow us on Twitter @GardenMaine and check out our boards on Pinterest. You never have to be far from the garden on Garden Maine.

Sign up for your chance at the gift certificate. The time to enter ends at 11 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012.
