Summer squash may have a reputation – prolific springs to mind – but it also has a somewhat limited color palette: shades of green or yellow. The yellow hues are often muted, but not with Golden Zebra, found at Pinetree Garden Seeds. The description from Pinetree says it all: “An arresting golden yellow that truly stands out, that is the color of this squash. Fruits are straight, blocky, cylindrical, and fairly long. … Meaty flesh is very crisp and flavorful.” Like most summer squash, it is easy to grow, requiring full sun and adequate water for the best production. And the fruits will add a burst of sunshine wherever they are used.
