Golden Day

Hemerocallis 'Stella de Oro'

Little Hemerocallis ‘Stella de Oro’ packs a sunshiny wallop with its golden blossoms that keep blooming for weeks. Hardy to Zone 3, this day lily generally doesn’t get much more than a foot tall, making it a perfect plant to edge a border. Like most day lilies, this one tolerates middling conditions but will thrive in fertile loam. It also prefers full sun, but it can handle some shade. If it is happy, the plant will multiply, benefiting from division in a few years. And that is one of the beauties of a day lily. Give it some time and it will make more and more plants for you to savor.
