Potentilla fruticosa ‘Pink Beauty’ sparkles when in bloom with its sheer pink flowers atop dense foliage. This member of the rose family grows into a shrub about 3 feet tall and wide and putting on a mighty show when blossoming. This native plant is hardy to Zone 3, growing in either full sun or part shade. Also known as shrubby cinquefoil or bush cinquefoil, the flowers are five-petaled and the leaves are usually composed of five leaflets. This variety was introduced in 1995 and is patented, with the plant only being able to be propogated by cuttings because it does not set true to seed.
