Where you live
Walk, talk and pick in the Garden: Meet the lettuces on their home turf and discover leaf, romaine/cos, crisphead, butterhead and Batavian in their many forms of red, green and mixed colors with solids, spots, variegated. And then there are the leaves themselves: frilly, plain, oak and more.
The final date is to be determined based on planting dates with early June likely; the location is Fussing Duck Farm, 501 McCard Road, west Corinth. A $5 fee per person includes a small salad and the opportunity to fill a gallon bag with lettuce leaves of your choice to take and share. This talk is sponsored by the newly formed Penobscot County Chapter of MOFGA
PLEASE NOTE: Time and date to be announced closer to lettuce season. (Calendar program requires a date and time, so by default June 1 was chosen.) Watch here for more info!
